Channel changing NTL Pace Di-4000-N via Sage

I have an NTL Pace Di-4000-N set top box (3 years old) to receive all my TV. It uses a non standard set of Remote Control codes.

RedEye should work with it (http://www.redremote.co.uk/)
Possibly RedRat (http://www.redremote.co.uk/)
and possibly usb-uirt (http://www.usbuirt.com/overview.htm)

Has anybody successfully controlled this set top box using SageTV (ie automating channel change) using any of the above?

I'm using Sage 2.020 with a PVR-350 + TV out card and everything seems to be
working well at the moment.
I use my PVR-350 remote to contro the application on my TV.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

I'm using a RedRemote Serial (http://www.redremote.co.uk/) to control my Telewest Pace 4000 STB from SageTV, using the exetuner plugin. Doesn't need Girder. I have a PVR350 also.

Works very well. I've had to play with the command string to put a few delays in (0.5s before the channel string, a second or two after, then the "blue" key to kill the "press red" symbol that pops up on most channels).

I believe the NTL Pace 4000 and the TW Pace 4000 are pretty much identical, maybe?

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info Barnaby.

I've placed an order!

I'd be very interested in your command string and any links you found useful in setting it up.

Looks like the USB-UIRT works as well but costs a bit more
