just rename the file and import it into the import video directory

move it out of the recorded TV directory while sageTV is closed and reopen SageTV
and the manual recording entry should be gone from the sage recordings list

then you can import it

I am guessing this a timed recording

How do you import the recording and where will it appear in SageTV? Thanks.

Or, use the Web UI to change the data.

Move the file to one of your video library folders. Then it will show up under videos rather than under TV. Or you can do what Fuzzy said and it will stay in TV Recordings.

Actually, moving a file from a recording folder to an import folder makes no difference to sage. It will still recognize it as the same file, and treat it the same (though it won't be removed to recover disk space, as it will never see a lack of disk space as it's not a recoring folder. As far as media is concerned, the only difference between a recording folder, and an import folder, is that it can record to a recording folder. You can rename the file, and it wouldn't recognize it as the same thing - unless it is recorded from v7, in which the metadata is stored int he file, and sage can still bring in that recording metadata...
