Dish Network 301 slows down
Every once in a while my JVC 301 receiver becomes sluggish.
It takes about 30 seconds for it to acknowledge a signal from the remote or the pc. Due to this most signals from UIRT get ignored. I have to switch the receiver off, remove and re-insert the card for it to come back to speed. The problem has started since i've started leaving the receiver on 24/7. It has caused many missed recordings and many lost points with my wife.

you should contect the Dish company and request a new box because of the problems

That's not an option as i own the sat box.
I was thinking of somehow turning the box on and off before and after recordings. Maybe a combination of Active Exit, SageWake and Girder. Unless someone can suggest something else......
