Here are my suggestions - good ones :)
- There needs to be a way to tell sage to record show X, but only on this channel ... that is, a per channel favorite. In addition, a per channel, per time slot favorite. You see, if you want to watch sportscenter or something like that, you set it in favorites, and ... you end up with four copies of the exact same show ... 2-3 times per day on ESPN, sometimes on ESPN2, etc. I need to be able to say either: record every episode of the simpsons, but only on channel 10 OR record sportscenter all the time, but only when it is on channel 25 at 6 PM.
In the current system, you just get a mess if you try to put a show like that in your favorites. - "jump to now" feature in the guide ... I can go "home" and then back into the guide to get back to "now", but it would be nice if there was just a button to do this in the guide itself. Very helpful if you are scrolled forward 9 days or something and want to go back to today to record some things... - There needs to be a way to do block recording - that is, "record channel 10 from 8am to 3pm - all to one file" ... I know I can just grab each show on that channel one by one, but then they end up as different files, etc. If I want to get 24 hours of a particular channel, or just grab the entire days stock talk on CNBC, etc, I would like to be able to spool it all to a single file. Thanks! *Mod's Note:This post was split off of the SageTVRecorder Official Feature Request thread. This was done as per the rules posted in the request thread. If this post contians a feature that can already be done by SageTV then please post advice for the original poster. This is a standard message and will be attached to all split posts. Re: Here are my suggestions - good ones :)
I think your post is directed at SageTV, not SageRecorder (wrong forum).
