All recordings going to the same tuner
I have been running, quite successfully, with 2 HD-PVRs for 6 months or more. First one is "HD PVR Capture Device" and second is "HD PVR Capture Device #2". Using USB-UIRT for channel changing both devices.
Today, I noticed a recording that was not of the correct channel. Turns out, looking at the blue light emanating from the device, that whenever a recording was scheduled on the first device, it instead was recording from the second device. To check, when there was no recording going on, I went to "Setup Video Sources" - when I previewed a channel on supposedly the first device, the blue light lit on the second device. Incorrect. When I previewed a channel on the second device, it previewed correctly. I of course rebooted and no change. I suspected maybe a problem with the first box, but I have a spare HD PVR and hooked it up in its place and still, all recordings go to the second device, no matter what. I temporarily have removed the first device source from Sage so that at least I always get good recordings - but of course only 1 thing at a time. Any ideas / suggestions? |

First make sure that both devices are working using the Hauppauge software.
Then, delete the source entry in SageTV and re-add it, making sure to select the proper video device. This can be tricky if you have other SageTV systems as they will "repeat" entries in the device list. For debugging, you can copy the lineup from the working HDPVR to the other one, then enable a channel on the suspect tuner that is disabled on the working tuner. This way you can force a recording from that channel to go to the tuner you are debugging. Once you have it working you can then change the lineup to share the same lineup as the working tuner.
