No Data after power outage

Hi folks,

I live in Houston, TX and we've had some problems over the last week that you might have heard about...

I was without power and internet for about 3 days. I've had uninterrupted power for about a day now.

In SageTV when I look at the guide it shows "No Data" on every channel. If I select a channel it will still tune though.

The web interface shows:

Quote:
Program Guide:
Last EPG Update: Feb 16, 2031 2:51:44 AM

Next EPG Update In: 87568.08hrs
I've logged into my account at Schedules Direct and everything looks ok there. I submitted a ticket with them as well

Any suggestions?

Can you force an EPG update via the SageTV web interface?

Yes, the system clock was messed up. I noticed that when I booted up the first time yesterday. So that was fixed. I just double-checked now.

System date is 2/19/2021, but when I go back to the web interface and refresh it, it still says Feb 16, 2031.

All the hardware has been power cycled (HD300, HDHomeRun, SageTV Server).

In SageTV if I go to Setup-System Information it shows correctly as Feb 19, 2021. So something strange in the date that the web interface/EPG scan is showing.

I opened my Sage.properties file (attached) and something bonkers has happened with the scanning. Never seen my Sage.properties file looking like this.

Also, when I'm on the home page of the SageTV Web Interface there is no button or link to tell it to force a scan. That was one of the first things I thought of doing but I do not see it.

what URL are you accessing the menu through? The desktop version should be accessible at:

http://SageServerIP:8080/sage/Home

In the "Program Guide:" section, there should be a link [Force EPG update].

If that isn't there, maybe try removing your sources and go through setting them up again to rebuild the guide and schedules direct info?

If you search this forum there are instructions somewhere to delete a couple of files to force Sage to re-download the SchedulesDirect data. I think one was called md5hash or something like that. I suspect that since the date was screwed up Sage wont check for new data for a long time otherwise.

Look for wizard/last_maintenance in sage.properties. It probably got set to a far future time and is what controls the next EPG update. Shut down, set it to zero and start up again.

Scratch that. I just looked in your properties file and the converted time of 1613702908864 works out to Feb 18 at 6:48pm

To force another EPG update, just disable then re-enable any one channel on any tuner in the tuner setup.

Did some more searching on the site and just did the following:

1. Stopped the SageTV Service
2. Deleted sdmd5prog and sdmd5sched from my SageTV directory
3. In my Sage.properties file I looked for all of the “*/expanded_until” entries and set them to 0 (wnjj: found that from you in another post)
4. Restarted the SageTV Service
5. Open SageTV web interface. Don't see anything that will let me force an update.

Zip file has a screenshot of my web interface, sage.properties, sagetv_0.txt

AND....

After posting this I went to the TV, turned it on, went to the guide and all the stations were showing the correct guide data. No more 'No Data' shown.
