IMDB Search Not Populating Backstage
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the IMDB search part of the CMT plugin now leaves "Backstage" as blank? I am thinking it's not just me, as I run two Sage servers and I see the same symptoms on both servers for both TV shows and movies.

Did IMDB change an API?

I could be wrong, but I don't think the SageTV plugins use an API to access IMDB. I think it they are scraping the HTML, which can be a problem when IMDB makes any changes to their site.

yeah, definitely busted. IMDb just can't leave their site alone. It's hard to find crew info even as a human.

I think it's a separate mechanism from Phoenix, but not 100% sure.

Edit: maybe it's the old nielm code. I think JREkiwi is still on here, he may know something about it.

Thanks. Can you confirm that you're using APIs and moved away from screen scraping a while back? I seem to remember reading that. Maybe I dreamed it.

Erv, you must have dreamed it. There is no API, just screen scraping and the latest incarnation of the site is a mess.

warning imdb changes coming again
when you go to imdb site it has a notice
"get a sneak peak of our new version of this page. "

I guess they are trying to stop the scrapers too.
