Commercial Detector for Sage9

I recently had to rebuild my SageTV server. I did a clean SageTV9 install. Everything is working well so far except that Commercial Detector and other Plugins are all listed as Incompatible because they are for Sage7 and I am on Sage9.

I see folks talking about using them but haven't found anything about how to get it loaded when the UI won't let me download it.

Is there a trick to getting Sage7 Plugins to load in Sage9? Or are there some other hoops to jump through? I know I was using 9 on my dead system with CommSkip but it had been running smoothly for so long that I just don't remember setting it up.

I recently rebuilt my Sage install using a docker in Unraid running version 9. By recently, I mean 3 months ago?

Anyway, I had a number of issues with getting plugins to download, it was similar to what you are describing. In the end, the issue was with the forums/plugin hosting and it needed to be resolved by whomever is maintaining the backend servers these days (might still be Narflex?).
