RecordedTV via USB 3.0?
I am about to spring for one of the NUCs (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075VSBNQY...lig_dp_it&th=1)
Pre-loaded w/Win 10 because I'm not up to Linux. My current Sage server has RecordedTV on two 3-tb hard drives and I am eager to move them to the new server "as-is"... i.e. without any reformatting or copying. I have explored LAN-based options and struck out. Is there any hope for just plopping those drives into a couple of USB3 enclosures and hanging them in the NUC box? I am thinking possible speed limitations as opposed to Ethernet or eSata. The way I read the description, it seems like I should be able to put the two drives into one of these things: https://www.amazon.com/Mediasonic-Pr...t+drive&sr=8-3 and be able to see both as separate drives over a single USB3 connection.

USB3 should be fine from a speed perspective.
Couldn't you just keep your existing Sage server running as a Windows file share and point the new server at it if you really don't want to move anything around? |

Although I did that test on an Ubuntu box with a dedicated PCIe USB3 adapter, I don't think the results would be much different on a NUC running Windows with the built in USB3 port. --John |

Existing server is kaput, hence the new server.
