Bizarre new problem with controlling cable box

My Sage has been happily running now for the most part flawlessly for a few months now (running the latest release), then all of the sudden last week it has exhibited a crazy bug.

In my setup, I have cable going directly into one turner, and the second tuner uses SVideo and controls the cable box with a USB-UIRT. As I've said, it's been working fine for months, but now it doesn't change channels properly when recording shows on the digital box. If I go into the live TV on the box I can change to all the channels fine, it controls the cable box perfectly, etc. Now, if I try to access the cable channels from my SageClient, it doesn't even change the channels. The recording do the same thing - if SageClient can't control the digital box, then the recording won't either - they'll just record whatever channel it happens to be on.

Does anyone have ANY idea on what might cause this, or what I could do to potentially try to solve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

try uninstalling drivers for the USB UIRT and installing them again then remove the source in sageTV and readd it

I tried reinstalling all the drivers but no luck... I can't imagine how it could be the drivers though, since it works fine if I use the LiveTV interface to change channels, it just doesn't work for recordings or the SageClient...

I'll delete and re-add that source and see if that gives me any love...

No luck on removing and then reinstalling the interface - it's still exhibiting the same behavior... I really don't want to have to blow out my wiz.bin file, since I have a ton of recorded shows that I would like to keep the information for, not to mention keeping track of the shows I've already seen...

Well, I've got some more info on this - when the SageTV changes channels for a recording, or when it changes channels in response to a channel change from SageTV Client, I can see the IRMan transmitting the channel change (ie, the IR light is flashing), but the cable box doesn't register anything. If I immediately try to change it from the LiveTV control, it flashes like it should except this time it does change channels.

So, it looks like somehow it is sending the wrong IR signal for everything except user initiated channel changes on the SageTV itself.

I've deleted all the .ir profiles in my system, I've retaught it my remote, double checked all the settings, tested it from the tuner configuration - all of those work fine.

Thoughts? Anyone seen this before? Any other suggestions or things to try? I'm getting a bit tired of selecting 'Recoding Error' for everything on my second tuner...
