Question HDHomeRun Prime and channel scan to find NEW channels?

Been running SageTV for what seems like forever.

Windows 10, SageTV v9
HDHomeRun Prime using CableCard

The HDHomeRun Prime side is using PrimeNetEncoder for channel tuning and recording. SchedulesDirect for guide data. All works fine.

Here's the thing. I've noticed I'm missing a lot of newly added Comcast channels. So I did the HDHomeRun Setup scan bit and applied (while SageTV service was disabled). I went to Sources and Channel Scan in SageTV, using the "Update" option and it didn't find any of the new channels, though it did say several hundred had been "modified" but they look the same to me.

Obviously SageTV v9 is finding the channels somewhere.


Where does HDHomeRun store the CableCard channels it finds and how does SageTV v9 pick them up? I know that OpenDCT can handle this for you. Is it possible that PrimeNetEncoder is the problem? It's been so long since I did the last channel scan (5 years???), I don't remember how I got the channels into SageTV in the first place. It's possible the channels are back from when I was using SageDCT as I think that handled channel scanning.

Any guidance is appreciated!

Edit: hmm, wonder if the issue is actually SchedulesDirect. They seem to be missing a lot of local digital channels. I sent them the updated list from my HDHomeRun web page.

So I talked to Schedules Direct about this and they were missing a bunch of our newer local Comcast channels. I sent them the latest list several days ago and they just populated in the guide last night. I think this addresses my issue.
