HD-300 - what limit on bit rate handling?

I generated a video using Davinci Resolve. It was rendered at as H.264 mp4 at 1080, 29.97 frames per second. I copied the file to the SageTV server, and tried to play it on the HD-300. It froze, stuttered, and lost audio.

The video plays fine with VLC on the server PC.
The server and HD-300 are connected by ethernet through a gigabit switch.

I let Davince Resolve render it with unlimited bit rate, and there is a lot of motion. VLC's status says the bit rate goes up to 30 Mbps.

I have rendered other videos with Resolve's default limit of 10 mbps, and they have played OK, although there are noticeable artifacts.

Is 30 Mbps more than the HD-300 can handle? If there is limit, what is it?

I played a 42 Mbps file the other day on a WIRED HD300, so it's not bitrate.

Maybe you could download and install Mediainfo and get all the media file attributes and copy them into this thread.

Here's the MediaInfo report.
The bit rate is quite a bit higher than VLC reported (130 Mb/s instead of 30) - but I think VLC shows real-time, not peak.

I believe the HD300's are 100 megabits per second network capable, so that's likely the issue. Sometimes with video, I've found that exporting to a lossless (or nearly lossless) format is the key, and then I use Handbrake to do the final encoding to something reasonable.

Just to keep things in perspective, most bluray disc data content is probably going to be right around 40 megabits per second.
