Sage 2.0 User Guide?

Any news on when we can expect an "official" user guide for SageTV 2.0?

We are working on it right now. I would expect it to become available in the next few weeks and then ship with future versions.

Great! I hope to see one sooner than later. So far, my wife is thinking that my idea about getting rid of the Stand Alone Tivo (previous to that it was a UTV and Directivo) and going with SageTv was't such a good idea. And it would be nice to spend time watching tv instead of searching and reading through the forum to figure out how to do even basic things in Sage.
Glad we're still using the Trial version. I didn't realize a user guide wasn't going to be included and my wife started asking me questions about "this and that" on how to use it. Until we get it all figured out out, we've got the vcr's programmed for backup recording .

Any chance of posting the beta version?? Even if we have a no frills PDF to review now, I am sure it would help minimize the learing curve before production release for some of us ...

What-da-ya-say? Huh?????

Sage 2.0 User Guide?

Status Check...

It has been a couple of weeks since the question of "when" was asked.

Any new news that you can give us?

Thanks...

Saul

The final draft is being reviewed by a few private testers right now. We expect to release it in the next few weeks.

An announcement has not been posted yet, but I see that the SageTV main page has a link for the NEW SageTV User Guide.

Not sure where/who screwed up, but if one is not "logged in" as a registered forum use the links in Dan's announcement post about the new SageTV guide/manual go to old outdated web pages for v1.14 and pre Beta v2.0.15. The link directly to the manual goes to a server error page.

Everthing works ok *IF* you are logged into the forum though.

Not sure who has to fix this. Any of the MOD's got a way to correct this? If not, be sure to let whoever is in charge of the servers know so they can correct this klinker.

Do you need to clear your cache? (Try Ctrl+Left-click on the refresh button, or Ctrl+F5) I just tried it on another computer where I am not logged in & all the links worked... so I can't seem to fix anything.

It's a LONG story as to what/how that odd behaviour occurs. For the most part I don't think it should bother anyone, but I just wanted to point out that there is something a bit odd that can happen.

As I had said, for those that are already members, just logging in (even once) seems to solve it.

For users coming to the forum from the current SageTV website there doesn't seem to be a problem.

So, just one of those odd things that happne with server changes, cookies, browser caches, etc.
