Unraid version

I am running 6.7.2, but I should have waited to upgrade, since Unraid has some problems moving large files around that will be fixed in the upcoming 6.8.

Also, we can start testing Wireguard in 6.8, which will be good.

I upgraded to 6.8.0-rc3 today and everything Sage seems to be working. Haven't gotten wireguard working though.

I'm considering upgrading from 6.5.3 to 6.7.2 or may wait a bit longer for 6.8+. 6.5.3 has been rock solid for me for a year and a half I think. I had server uptime of 250+ days at one point, before an extended neighborhood power failure forced my UPS to power down.

I have no real reason to upgrade I guess as I'm happy with my 6.5.3 setup, and it's super stable with my 10+ dockers, SageTV, and VMs. WAF is very high right now as well with the fall season starting. Are there any good reasons to upgrade? Or does "if it ain't broke, don't break it" apply here? Has anyone broken their server or SageTV via an unraid upgrade?

I have been letting mine update pretty regularly, now on 6.7.2.

I like the new dashboard layout, and it's possible that it may have fixed some minor issues with my VMs. That said, if it ain't broke...

I would recommend finding a new docker to play with over messing with something that otherwise works. Don't forget that annoying feeling when you wake up knowing sage isnt functioning properly but you likely won't have time to fix it before her show comes on that evening.

There have occasionally been upgrades where the DVB version isn't available for a little while after the unRAID version is updated. The DVB version is required if you are using HD-PVRs.

Today, I threw caution to the wind, held my breath, and upgraded to 6.7.2 despite my better judgement and violating all my "don't break it..." rules. Seems the upgrade was generally quick, painless, and pleasant. New dashboard is visually appealing. So far, so good. I'll verify the WAF has remained constant sometime this weekend, and post an update if necessary.
