Manage Metadata - help

I've got some episodes of Saturday Night Live, where the correct info wasn't included when the recordings were made.
I'm using the 'Manage Metadata' option to edit the date, episode, guest stars, season, etc., info.
Here's the problem: when I edit ONE of the episodes which didn't contain correct data (there were three), all THREE episodes are changed to show the exact same info. The only thing differentiating them is the 'Aired On' line.
What am I doing wrong, or is something broken with 'Manage Metadata'?

It's not broken. It works exactly how it's supposed to. If you look you will find that all those show have identical ShowIDs, so if you change one it should change all of them.

One way to get around the issue of shows with identical IDs is to "Change type to Imported Video" then find the show in imported videos and "Change type to Recording"

That will give the airing a new ShowID and you can correct the metadata on it without affecting the airings with the identical ShowID

ok, thanks, I’ll try that. Not sure if there was actually ANY show i.d. on any of the three episodes. I’ll check again.
