Forced to iOS- sagetv workarounds?

Company is forcing me to move to an iphone. Right now on my Note 5, I have and use miniclient and phoenix remote. Am I reduced to only the webclient now, or are there any other workarounds that people have found?

Nothing native. You would have to use something like Air Video or Plex to be able to stream.

I use a Slingbox 350 hooked up to a HD300.

It works very well and doesn't require any transcoding, the quality and performance with a cellular network is great, plus watch/delete is updated. However, the lag with the remote is bad, about 5 seconds.

Cell company, or work company?

AirVideo is what I find best for playback, but then you are stuck having to work with looking for filenames in folders. But playback is pretty good.

But I also do the two other methods suggested - Plex and Slingbox. Slingbox works best for live TV as the other two options won't work for that, although AirVideo can usually handle files that are still recording.

Streaming video over a remote desktop, over a cellphone connection; would that even work? I'd imagine your frame rate would be well below 30 and your audio wouldn't be in sync.

If you can install apps, buy a used Slingbox 350 for $20 on eBay, it would work a lot better and save you a lot of time.
