Reloading sage 9

Since I am not getting any where with my aspect ratio problem. What would be the best way to reload sage? Can I reload over the top of 9 or do I need to delete 9 then do the install?
Then what files should I keep if I delete sage? I believe the wiz bin needs to be kept. Any other files that should be kept?
I have this version downloaded from my original upgrade: SageTVSetup_9.0.13.536_R1.011 Is this version good to use again?

Thanks
Wayne

As long as you do not NEED the SageTV MPEG2 playback (you can use the one in windows or LAV if you want or use Win10) then you can start from scratch with the latest installer....see my signature for the location of that download.

IMHO I would rename the current SageTV folder so you have it as a backup and then install from scratch. After the install copy only the WIZ.BIN from the renamed folder into the new folder and start sage....give it time to load as the first run can take longer.

Then at least you know you have a clean install and old plugins/settings are not causing issues.

PS: if you NEED the SageTV MPEG2 or CC then you need to install V7 first and then V9 over top of it to retain those features.

Yes on cc.

No for wiz.bin. If this clean install solves the issue you will need to re setup things...but if it does not then delete the new install and rename the old folder back and no loss.

I done a fresh install of V9 and my usb uirt will not work. Not sure what to look for. When I done the source setup for my satellite it shows the uirt, but I cannot get past that point. I get no led flashes on the uirt when it tries to change channel. Do I need to reinstall the uirt software?

fresh install problems

I done a fresh install of v9 and have a couple of problems:
# 1 My merit value is not showing up on the tuners like it did before.
# 2 I was able to access sage from my main computer by using this: http://IP#:8080/sage/Home and now I cannot connect to it. I did not do a fresh windows install, only a v9, my IP # is correct.

The merits are not shown by default - there is a setting you have to change for this.

Sage doesn't have a built-in webserver. So, you won't get anything in a web browser unless you install one of the webserver plugins.
