Sage Miniclient on Android
I'm curious if Stuckless or anyone else on the forums knows whether the miniclient (placeshifter mode using push / fast wan) always selects the lowest (352x240) resolution?
So far I have observed this behavior with multiple nvidia shields as well as some samsung TVs with built-in android TV. Using PLEX I am actually able to play the streams uncompressed but the built-in bandwith test doesn't appear to work (at all). Given the 352 x resolution appears to only use +/- 200kbps (without trying to switch to a more modern compression scheme) I am hoping we might be able to convince the miniclient to use a higher resolution at the cost of higher bandwidth utilization. Anyone have any pointers for where the relevant code is? Client or server-side? |
