Search function not working

Trying to use search in V9 757. Can't get it to move from first letter. It gives me the number three times. whether I use the number keys or the enter box. example - trying to get to the letter v, I hit the 8 three times and I get three 8's then it gives me utu. It does the same with the enter key. Speed doesn't seem to help.

If you have numeric search enabled, isn't that how it's supposed to work? Just type a single 8 and go to the next digit. It will match anything it finds that will fit any of the letters corresponding to the series of numbers you enter.

If you'd rather just choose letters, you can turn that setting off in the Detailed Setuo|Customize|Numeric Text Input Settings section or press pause when sitting in the search box.
