Yes, the boot disk is an SSD. Makes a huge difference!

I just wondering do you have the AMD Chipset & SATA driver installed ?.
Can find out what make and model is of your motherboard
Try running CPUID CPU-Z it should tell what you have click on Tools save as a html post it here zip up or just rename to zip

Just so you know your mainboard is a ASRock A785GM-LE
In your bios check Advanced Screen below option
1: In CPU Configuration, check see if Cool ‘n’ Quiet is enable if it is set to auto then disable it same apply to Enhance Halt State it too should be disable.
2: In ACPI Configuration, everything should be disable other then Restore on AC/Power Loss which should set to Power On.

If that doesn't help then there some kind of compatible issues with that motherboard that maybe keep it from work right.
Maybe some like a AMD APU A10 or A12 with AMD B350 motherboard or Intel Core i3-7100 a long with B270 or H270 motherboard.

Thanks for the info, I have made these changes. Next recording is tomorrow night - the new Mythbusters. We'll see how things go for the rest of the week.
