Merging Hard Drives

I currently use two separate hard drives to store Sage-recorded video (under Windows, Sage v9). I'm considering replacing those two drives with a single larger drive.

If I copy the recorded files to the single new drive, is Sage "smart" enough to find the already-recorded files? Put another way, does Sage look up a file based on its full absolute path, or by searching all of the configured video storage directories for just the file name?

If all three drives will be connected at the same time, Add the new drive/location as a Video Recording Directory. Then just copy files to the new drive/location.

The really important thing to remember is:
As long as Sage can see the new and old file locations, Sage will pick the file(s) in the new location and remove the pointers to the older locations.

I tend to shut Sage and the Sage Service down when I copy recordings, then restart the Service and/or Sage.
I don't believe this is actually necessary but I have had some issues in the past if I moved recordings while Sage was running.

I always shut down Sage, then move the files and restart. When Sage restarts, it scans all drives and updates the pointers.
