In my setup I need nVDVD 2.55 installed to get FWMM working. But I don't/didn't have a copy of nVDVD and you can't buy it anymore really so...

Have you tried FWMM since you've installed 2.55? Some configs require 2.55 for 3 to work correctly.

I didn't have 2.55 installed for FWMM 3. It didn't crash it if I selected the pp option, and it did work, just the video was somewhat glitchy.

I was using the intervideo audio decoder when testing it, I remembered that kny3twalker menioned using fwmm audio would crash it.

I just think it isn't very stable yet. Could be promising, I didn't really see any MAJOR differences between sonic and nvdvd 2.55.

That's about my take, at the time FWMM seemed to deinterlace better, but I've since upgraded to Catalyst 4.7 for my Radeon and the DXVA deinterlacing with Sonic now seems just as good as FWMM was.

My take for now is to sit, wait, and see what happens when FWMM is released, and also to see what becomes of Dscaler 5.
