In my setup I need nVDVD 2.55 installed to get FWMM working. But I don't/didn't have a copy of nVDVD and you can't buy it anymore really so...
Have you tried FWMM since you've installed 2.55? Some configs require 2.55 for 3 to work correctly.

I didn't have 2.55 installed for FWMM 3. It didn't crash it if I selected the pp option, and it did work, just the video was somewhat glitchy.
I was using the intervideo audio decoder when testing it, I remembered that kny3twalker menioned using fwmm audio would crash it. I just think it isn't very stable yet. Could be promising, I didn't really see any MAJOR differences between sonic and nvdvd 2.55.
