Okay just checked again and I am running java 7 update 79. And that is on a pc not running unraid.

When I had the problem with the unraid I downloaded the java 8 version of sagetv.

Ok. So that means it likely has nothing to do with at least one change. The log file hopefully will help us work out the rest of the details.

Just loaded new Sagetv v9.1.1.651 on PC running windows 10, java 7 update 79. Everything worked okay with the setup. Got through adding 1 hdhomerun then tried to view a channel and sagetv just disappeard.

Attached is the log file. Did not load openDCT, was just using sagetv.
Attached Files
File Type: zip sagetv_0.zip (41.4 KB, 128 views)

Thanks. It looks like the file size isn't growing or it is, but the audio/video format isn't being detected. I know there was a change in to fix an issue with FFmpeg in SageTV. I wonder if that could have any impact here.

I'm not familiar with that but it would seem more people would be complaining about it if that was it???

Also, now that I think about it, I don't know if we have been recompiling Transcoder.exe on the Windows platform. I suspect we have not, so that might have nothing to do with this.

I can see them but when I try to preview the channel it acts like it can not connect to the tuner. I also tried accessing through the guide and the same thing happens.
I posted about this recently in another thread, as I had the exact same issue when migrating from Windows to a Docker version on Linux.

You don't need OpenDCT is you are using the HDHomeruns to tune OTA. Just open source port 5004/udp and you should get video. Your firewall is probably configured to drop it by detail. (note that its source port and not destination port).

Why do firewall settings matter in this instance as, presumably, the HDHR and unRAID box are on the same subnet? If you have a switch they might not even hit your router, or are you talking about a firewall running on the unRAID server?
