Setting up two video sources
Hi,
I have added a second video source. Both sources are from the exact same hardware type. When setting up the source, I can choose between - "Use the same channel lineup" and - "Copy channel lineup" Both options won't work. If I use one of them, I get no signal for both sources. However, when doing a full channel scan for the new source and creating a new channel lineup, both sources work fine. Unfortunatelly, I get all channels doubled in the EPG, too. What is the correct way to set up two sources successfully, without having the channels doubled in the EPG? Ken |

What tuner are you using for the sources? You may need to do a scan on each tuners, even though they are using the same lineup (the tuner itself may need the scan).

I would just go through the entire process for one of the tuners (select lineup, perform channel scan, etc.), but don't bother doing any channel remaps or enabling/disabling you want to do yet. This will get a scan done so it knows how to tune that device. Then add the second source, choose to use the same lineup. This is supposed to copy over the scan information for that device as well, but there may be an issue with DVB-C tuners (can't say I have any experience with them to say for sure). In any case, you'll now have both tuners setup in sage as sources assigned to the same lineup - now go into the details for the second (not-scanned-yet) tuner, and tell it to do a channel scan there (update scan should be fine, if it asks). Now sage has scan info for sure for both tuners, and both are still assigned to the same epg lineup. You can no do any channel edits you like to that lineup (from either source - doesn't matter since you're editing the same lineup at this point).
