elecard mpeg decoding options!? this the best decoder?

I've commented before about difficulties seeing fast moving objects in my streams.. this has been within sage, usually using the intervideo drivers that came with hauppauge.. my more recent windvd platinum intervideo drivers dont seem visible in sage..

anyways since installing the elecard decoder to try out the dscaler stuff, my default windows media player has started to use the elecard decoder sometimes with mpeg2 stuff... wierdly after noticing this a few days ago i went back to look at it and another filter appeared to have taken over the elecard duties in wmp.. anyways its back now and what strikes me is that it look really really nice in wmp.. i get a little grid top right hand corner which i assume is from these drivers being free as an incentive for me to purchase...

I'm pretty sure i can't get it looking as good within SAgeTV using that filter...

looking at the decoder options in the properties whilst playing the file and it claims to be respecting quality signals in the stream and using

vertical filter deinterlace

Is there any way of getting this within Sage, or is it there already.. i'll have a real look at this at the weekend... its a nice free way of improving viewing, and recordings.. CPU usage is high, so i assume hardware isn't being used as much as it could be.. just wondering really...
