Properties file done away with?
Noticed after updating to V9.0.13.536 that the next 3 recordings (all sports - not that that matters) have not produced properties files along with the recording.
I didn't see that noted - now I just had my eyes examined, so if it WAS noted tell me so I can get my money back. AND I'm not a Sage Advanced User - Just a Sage Advanced Question Asker.

a .properties file will only be created if something changes the metadata on an existing recording, and it will only contain what was changed.

I create a property file for all my recordings using CMT Plugin. Which contains everything about the recording.

yes, other things can create .properties files, but SageTV itself, will only write a .properties file when changes are made to metadata - the purpose of which is to keep a record of changes that are made that are different or in addition to the data stored in the original recording file.
