Unhappy Sage melt-down now numerous audio probelms

I wanted to use TV-out on the PVR-350 thinking it might improve PQ. Once enabled it caused an immediate lock-up of Sage (V2.20), even after a system restart. I ended up removing SAGE, deleting the Frey folder and installing from scratch.

After all this, Sage is still unstable (I'm not using PVR-350 TV-OUT). Specifically, everytime I "wake" SAGE, there's no audio. If I change channels, it usually comes back. However many times the audio quits when switching from Live TV to a recorded program or switching from one recorded program to another. I must restart the system to regain audio.

This is a new issue on a system that has run SAGE since pre-V1! I've tried different renderers, etc.

And another wierd problem. I can't see the "green dots" on the channel setup page anymore.

Since I've tried re-installing even after deleting the entire folder, anyone have a suggestion to get my SAGE working again? Needless to say, I'm not even thinking about enabling TV-OUT again...

Thanks,
Tom

try uninstalling java and reinstalling it again (make sure to uninstall sageTV also or at least set it not to start with your computer)

also run a search for SageTV or Frey's technologies and delete the findings if relevant

also try uninstalling the hauppauge software and drivers using hcw.clear.exe and reinstall the drivers again

the audio quitting thing sounds to be a decoder issue (or rendering) for I am betting that the recording file is ok

try using another decoder if you have one
