New Usbuirt, girder & Sage installation questions...

Ok, I just got my Usb-Uirt a couple days ago, and I'm wanting to set it up on my SageTV system. I know I can use the internal plugin built into Sage for controlling my cable boxes, but I'm really wanting to use it with my One-For-All home theater remote (URC-8910B02). There are a few commands that I'll have to map to alternate keys (skip backward, and home to return to the main menu to name a few).

Has anybody out there programmed a Girder file for a One-For-All remote, and also use girder to control a couple of cable boxes? I have a basic idea as to how to program Girder for use with the remote but I'd REALLY hate to duplicate someone elses effort (IE: I r lazy this week ).

will you use any other programs, or just sage? Cuz if it's just Sage, just setup the USB-UIRT, and bypass Girder altogether.

If you're going to use myHTPC/TT/other stuff, then this route won't work.

I hadn't ever installed the uirt stuff with a sage install before, and didn't know it had that capability. I just did the install on my lappie with the client (demo), and noticed that you can do that .

For now, I'll just use what's built in, but I do plan on using other software other than just Sage eventually, so I'll see what I can dig up on One-For-All's and Girder.

Now I just need to figure out what program code to put in the remote so I have as many buttons as possible active, and if I can't figure that out, build a JP1 cable and program the dang thing how I want it to be .

The code I use with my On for all is a cable code for general instruments box code 0476. IT matched most of the command in SageTV.

That's exactly what I'm looking for, thanks . I'll eventually build the JP1 cable and modify anything that it doesn't have and add it to the system, if I ever get around to it. If I do, I'll post the file with the modded buttons on the system.
