S/PDIF Output

I cannot get my S/PDIF output to work. Anyone know why?

I know that's kind of generic.... I've got an ASUS motherboard with SoundMAX audio software..... I've looked EVERYWHERE and don't see anything like "Turn digital audio output on".

Any ideas?

What decoder are you using? Do you hear any audio (Windows sounds) using SPDIF or is it just not working in Sage?

Of all the things that can cause problems discussed here in this forum....

This one was the simplest of all.....

A bad RCA cable!

Thanks
