I'm testing out the GetSDEPGInProgressSportStatus API. I'm getting a strange result. Future events work as expected, returning 3 (future program), but current events are returning 4 (not monitored). I've only tested NHL and NBA, since that's all that's really on now, but the results are the same regardless of which I use. If it matters at all, I'm using the Expression Evaluator in SageTV Studio to call the API. (That shouldn't really make a difference, but it's one more piece of info.)

I built a custom Sage.jar to add some logging of the communication with SchedulesDirect. It shows that the current events are receiving a response of INVALID_PROGRAMID.

What I see for the future events is a response like this:

SDInProgressSport{code=6002, message='The programID you requested has not occurred yet, so isComplete status is unknown.', programID='SP003471650000', response='FUTURE_PROGRAM', isComplete=false, serverID='20141201.web.3', datetime='2017-03-09T02:35:25Z', result=null}

But for a current event it looks like this:

The thing that looks odd to me there is the serverID. When I query for the current event, the serverID is "Test1", for the future event, it's "20141201.web.3". That makes me wonder if it is something on SD's end, maybe?

Any suggestions on where to go from here?

It doesn't look like you're using it incorrectly. I double-checked the API to make sure we didn't need to change the program ID in any way and we don't. Those messages you're pulling on the logs are exactly what was returned by Schedules Direct, so I would check in with them.

Edit: Note that SageTV will trim out the 00 in SP003471620000 making it SP3471620000 internally, but when the request is sent to SD, the 00 is put back in making it SP003471620000 again. I don't want rkulagowski thinking he found the problem when that's not what's happening in reality.

If you installed the very latest version (9.0.14) the teams should be back.

Edit: This fix will only effect new shows and updated shows. If you want to refresh all of the previously downloaded data, you'll need to delete sdmd5sched and sdmd5prog from your SageTV folder and trigger an EPG update.

That's normal. The warning is because on Fiber, it wasn't expected to ever have an alias without a normal person. Using Schedules Direct, it's incredibly possible. I keep debating if the error message would be better off removed from the code since it doesn't really mean much to us on v9.

Don't think this is a problem with SageTV itself, as Zap2it is also having the same issue.

But the program listing for the local CBS station has been "shuffled" on Tuesday night.

It is showing the nightly listing as being:
Bull // NCIS: New Orleans // NCIS

But what has been happening the past couple weeks is:
NCIS // Bull // NCIS: New Orleans

It also seems to only be Tuesday night that has the issue.

Already submitted a ticket to SD about it. Just posting here to cover the bases.

raised? Sorry, just to be clear...There can be separate listings for satellite, cable and off-air for example, all under one, subscription fee?

Looks like my next week of recordings are going to be a HUGE pain. Comcast/Xfinity sent a letter saying that on, or about, 4/26 they are doing wholesale changes to the channel locations. Over 400 channel moves (no new or deleted channels) They say this is to put channels into "blocks", i.e. all sports channels in a block, all news channels in a block, etc.

Well SD, AND the old SageTV built in EPG (I have two servers, one on each EPG) have decided that the moves happened on 4/20 so my recordings are failing A LOT!!

The only workaround I have is that they aren't moving any channels under 1000 which is almost entirely standard def. So I'm manually scheduling the non-HD channels so I can get my recordings for the next several days.

Well, hopefully it will only be a few days. In the past Comcast has missed these scheduled dates on many occasions and the changes were either weeks late, or maybe even a day or two early. Not to mention that in several instances NEITHER the old or new channel would work for 1-4 hours.

Yes. You may have 4 separate lineups. If you have a special circumstance then open a ticket and that can be raised within reason - if you're using the JSON service. The XML service is capped at 4.

It definitely broke my old V7 Team favorites when I just switched to SDEPG on my main server. I even tried going through the favorites manager and adding a favorite "actor/team". Entering my team city would give the team as an option, but when added it would not list any "additional airings".

In trying to resurrect my old favorite or add the new team favorite I also tried setting it to first runs and re-runs in case they weren't marking them as first run in SD EPG, but no change. It would still not list any "additional airings".

I found that I had to add the generic MLB favorite and then use the favorites manager to "add keyword" and place the team city in there to get it to work and show "additional airings" and indeed mark the proper games as favorites in the SD EPG.

Not 100% sure, but I'm guessing I'll have to do the same thing when the NFL season comes around this fall. I'd have to guess all other "team" favorites for other sports might have the same issue.

At least it is that way for my team (Red Sox) SD EPG listings on NESN/NESNHD.

What version of Sage are you using? ENE indicated that teams should be fixed for SD going forward with Sage v9.014. Are still having issues with that version?

I guess I missed that it was worked on for 9.014. I haven't installed that yet, still on 9.0.13.536. Guess I'll do that tomorrow.

But at least the workaround I found does work. Of course since it is a new favorite and I use IR I have to go and set "don't like" every other team in MLB as they pop up for IR. (yes I have aggressive negative profiling for IR ON) I had to do that with the old V7 setup when I first set up the favorite for my team as well, so that isn't something new.

After you upgrade, if you want to refresh all of the EPG data, delete sdmd5prog and sdmd5shed, then force an update. This will re-download all of the shows and bring back all of the teams. Otherwise you'll be a little spotty for a few weeks while the guide data is gradually updated.
