Android mini client screen draw issues
Hey Stuckless,
I still run the original Phoenix STV and the android mini client isn't handling some things so well. When a video is playing and i pull up the OSD I think there's multiple graphic layers that the client doesn't seem to handle. It's difficult to get back to the original video. I know you haven't done development in a few months but is this something you can take a look at? I really don't want to switch to another STV. |

My thought was that it might be related to the navigation controls, etc. Have you tried the on screen navigation controls to see if that works... ie, HOME, back, etc? I have been focusing lately on trying to get some of the other parts of sagetv updated, ie, Phoenix, BMT, web server, etc... but I do need to get back the MiniClient as well.

I found that if I bring up the mini guide in the original Phoenix (didn't really like phoenix2) and then "back" out of that I can get back to video that's playing. It's just pretty tedious.

I think generally whenever there is an Options menu (Widget type in Studio) open in the STV the android mini client gets a little confused with it's rendering.
So it's probably a layer issue as @Gustovier initially posited. On P3 I see this on the mini-guide mostly. There aren't too many other option menus in that code base, but once it's available that's an easy way to see this issue.. btl.

Transparency maybe?

Could be... I know I had some issues initially with transpariencies... The Default STV, I think uses them, and I've never seen any issues in Gemstone...
Have you pushed your changes, yet? If I can get a build before the weekend, then I'll spend some time on this on the weekend trying to figure it out.
