LattePanda 4GB/64GB W10
Apologies if this has already been brought up. I thought this looks very promising for running a SageTV client or Placeshifter on the cheap (cheaper than a full pc). $140 including W10 license. In videos it looks like it's pretty snappy, but I haven't found any reviews that show video/audio playback.

I just looked at their KS page and I'm trying to figure out how the hell they managed to include a Windows 10 Home Edition license on a £45 computer/reward.

The earlier sales included W10 but they ran out of product keys or something. They still have some of the one with less memory with W10 keys. I'd want to go with the one with more memory just because.
I almost pulled the trigger on one the other night, but I read somewhere that the video maxes out at 1024x600, which would make it less than suitable for use with an HD TV/monitor. But other places mention "full 1080 HD support" so now I'm not sure. I really want to buy one just to play with it, but having to spend another $100+ for W10... And apparently W7 won't work with it due to lack of drivers or something. I'm not sure if they mean it won't install at all or if they mean the fancy Arduino crossover doesn't work. |

I'm guessing the resolution limit you are seeing is for the direct panel connection, not the HDMI.

It would be nice to have a small Windows capable computer like this for my home domain controller. Currently it's in a vm. While that's ok most of the time there have been some instances where it would have been better to have it on a physical system.

While I don't run a domain, I do have much older atom board as my main router - been in that service for 7 years I think.
