ALter EPG view via browser

Is a there a way, to see the guide via a web browser (read: mobile), so that below the title is - at least - a partial description? Instead of having to click/tap on the entry/title then back out.

Probably not. The web pages haven't really been touched much in years - I doubt many use the guide much on mobile (to be honest, I doubt many SageTV users actually use a program guide much at all). Which web page are you using? There's also not really a 'short' description field that could be displayed. There is either the episode title, or a summary that would take a decent amount of screen real estate on a mobile platform.

I'm surprised that I appear to be the only one of few that use the guide! Isn't that what this is for (mainly)?

Anyway, I can live with it - bummer though.

I'd also like to know how this got to "SageTV v7 Customizations" I KNOW I put in Support.

Most of us don't watch live TV. We set up favorites and watch our recorded content. Live TV is pretty much reserved for the sports fanatics.

Or ex-writers.

In the browser, if you drop down the program guide|grid view, at the bottom of the grid, are "show options". One of which is "show description in title-text" - enabled/disabled. It is disabled by default, but enabling doesn't seem to change things.

I, too, have been trying to get the description showing in the web Program Guide and as RBraverman said, toggling "show description in title-text" changes nothing in the grid view.

I found this bug description in a posting by ToonGal:
https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/sho...ext#post152004
- BUG: "Show description in title-text" toggle on "EPG grid view" broken
However, when you "Enable" the "show description" on "EPG list view", then the descriptions work on both grid/list views.

I made the changes suggested and the descriptions do start showing in list view but not in grid view. Another odd thing - at one point today, if I moused over a listing, a box with the description popped up but that has stopped??

Is there some easy way to correct this?
