Options for HDMI encoder for SageTV?

From what I read here, there are a few options:

HDPVR 60 - Doesn't work currently

Hauppauge Colossus HD-PVR - Doesn't work currently

Colossus 2 - Still having problems as of last post Aug 2015

HD PVR Model 2 1512 - Maybe it works - but problems with sound with HD300.

Is there any clear winner (or any other option) for HDMI encoding, with 5.1 audio support, and able to work properly with HD300 extender?

Nothing that I'm aware of, unless you can just deal with stereo audio. The Colossus seemed like the closest thing for me, but the unreliability is a pain to deal with on a SageTV system.

That said, I have to appreciate folks like EnterNoEscape who are purchasing various tuners all the time for testing, like this one for example;

There are a lot of products out there available from China - hopefully one day we'll find one that passes the 5.1 channel audio, too.
