Please advice on how to pad a show's recording time.

I haven't really seen this suggestion but then their is a massive amount of suggestion.

The ability to increase the beginning or end or both, depending on what you want of the record time.

For example: I go to the TV Guid menu, goto Disney Channel and press record for JoJo Circus. However, JoJo Circus is only 25 min long with a 5 min short show afterwards. I want the ability to increase the record time, just for this one show by 5 min, to include the small 5min show. I know there is a time record function, but it would be much easier to select a show, press record, and then press an option key the allows user to increase or decrease begin time, end time or both.

This capability already exists.

If this is a manual recording, simply highlight the show to be recorded & use the Info command to go to the Program Information menu. Once there, select Record Options. From there, you can choose to Adjust Start Time or Adjust Stop Time, among other things.

Favorites have a similar setting -- on the Favorite Details menu, you can set the Start Padding and Stop Padding times.

I have this but for some reason it will only let me adjust the time by 15m. I swear that it used to let me do it by the minute. is there any way to adjust this to less than 15m. I always end up missing the first minute of shows.

There are (or should be) 2 arrows on either side of the padded time display -- the outside arrows (short) adjust by 15 minutes, the inside arrows (tall) adjust by 1 minute.
