Corrupt IDs?

I've got a situation where some old (years old) imports have ShowID (EPGID) values that don't match the MediaFileID with an "MF" on the front. Now, when I add some new imports as new MediaFileIDs are assigned, it's assigning ShowID values correctly, but now they can match some of these older ones and that messes up various things. In the standard STV it looks like playback of the new items works, but search shows duplicates. In SageMC (I'm still using V6) the playback plays the older file. In the web server, the search shows the two "linked" items in the results.

Is there any way I can batch fix this or am I kind of hosed? Of course I'd rather not lose watched state.

upgrade and use Gemstone, which doesn't care as much about the actual ID, and instead groups it by metadata.
