ok, I was on my phone, in front of my TV when I typed that, I now have a real browser on a real monitor so I can see what I am browsing, and while I did find the forum thread for phoenix 3, I was unable to find any d/load link...

do I even need the full phoenix plugin in the first place?
I think it is just one of those things that I just d/loaded to play with, decided I preferred Gemstone (or couldn't figure out what it does/how to do anything and ran crying back to Gemstone because it just does everything for me?)
so, what if I just uninstall phoenix, uninstall BMT, then reinstall just BMT, would that make everything happy again?

well, that didn't work...
and I do have Phoenix core 3.0.1, I just wasn't looking in the right spot for it...
and it wont let me uninstall/reinstall it as it says everything uses it...
so where can I just get a new and improved vfs file from?
is there a link somewhere to it?

I think it should automatically download it for you when you restart sage. There's just a conflict between the Phoenix UI and the Phoenix Core in how that is done. Remove the Phoenix UI if you have it installed, and restart sage.

You'll probably just have to do the uninstall reinstall of the plugins then. It honestly shouldn't take THAT long, and it won't lose any configuration. Just a few retries here and there until you get all the things that are dependent on Phoenix Core uninstalled so you can uninstall it, then reinstall what you want.

well, I did that....
unistalled everything one by one until it would let me uninstall Phoenix-core...
after everything was uninstalled I stopped sage, renamed the old VFS and cached VFS to vfs_old (seemed like a good way to see if it created a new one?) and then restarted sage and then reinstalled phoenix, gemstone and bmt...

no new VFS's were ever created... seriously, whats a guy gotta do to get a new VFS created around here?

well, ok, so now onto plan B,,, anyone have any ideas what exactly is plan B?
hopefully it is not nuking the whole docker and starting over... the remapping the qam channels is a PITA...

Would have to see the log to get an idea why it wouldn't be downloading the vfs file.

Something else is likely messed up here.. but, you can download the x-vfs.xml file from

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/st.../vfs/x-vfs.xml

And put it into STVs/Phoenix/vfs/ and replace the existing one with this one...

Also, there might be ANOTHER vfs file in your environment that is causing issues. I likely should just change phoenix to NOT totally bomb out if there is a bad entry.

oh, I wasn't looking in STVs/Phoenix/vfs/... there is was a vfs there, same size...
I was looking in \\TOWERB\Micron_M500\Phoenix\vfs
ie the root or whatever of the docker location that contains the apps/server/sage folder....
what is that phoenix folder and vfs for?
anyway, new VFS didn't help... still get:

First sight, it looks like you have 2 copies of x-vfs.xml, one in STVs/Phoenix/vfs, and another in userdata/Phoenix/vfs. Try deleting the one in userdata/Phoenix/vfs and see if that clears things up (it SHOULD be fine to have duplicates, but it could actually be that they are slightly different causing issues).

Can you also post your userdata/Phoenix/cache/vfs-cached.xml file? That might help figure out what is failing in parsing it and point to the problem closer.

For some reason, one of your vfs xml files has a UPnP Devices entry in it, with the class sagex.phoenix.upnp.UPnPSourceFactory, which does not exist in the current version of Phoenix Core. The current version of x-vfs doesn't have this entry, but you have an old version in there somewhere. Get rid of both of your x-vfs.xml files, and put the file Stuckless linked above in STVs/Phoenix/vfs/ and restart sage.

So, delete both copies of the x-vfs.xml file (the one in userdata and the one in STVs)... and then download the x-vfs.xml again, and put it into the STVs/Phoenix/vfs/ area.

I cannot get any of my .iso's recognised, is this an issue with the docker not running sage as root ?

log file example:

Code:

Thu 10/6 23:18:33.850 [ErrorStreamConsumer@5003629c] STDERR:java.lang.UNIXProcess@7774b599: mount: only root can use "--options" option
Thu 10/6 23:18:33.851 [Ministry@5cefaa93] FAILED mounting ISO image /unraid/Films/Movie ISOs/AVS Calibration DVD.iso to /tmp/formatmount

and just a fwiw, my vfs-cached according to its time stamp thingy has not been written too since 7/6/16... should it at least have tried to re-write that at least once with all the rebooting?

delete the vfs-cache file and see if it recreates it properly. There may have been some permissions issue preventing it from deleting and recreating it (though it's odd that that wasn't identified in the logs).

Actually, that logfile is still showing multiple copies of x-vfs.xml.
