How can you tune into Channel 1????

Time Warner shows Video-On-Demand on cable channel 1 out of the cable box.

As far as I can tell, none of the channel setups for Time Warner in Sage make allowances for channel 1.

How can I record a show that I have selected thru VOD???

you can remap a channel to channel one
but there could be issues
if you record something from channel one and the guide data does not match it will have issues

any pausing will cause you to possibly lose the end of the show you are recording
and there will be a pause in the recording if there i breaks in the shows according to the guide data

just trying to give you some warning about the remapping but you will definitely be able to tune to the channel

YOu might have to use your analog out of your cable box to record on demand video ... it's not a normal channel and I would guess that it is a digital signal ... correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the TV cards can decrypt the digital or encrypted video.

You recorded Pay per veiw on DirecTV without the box ... wow now that's feat. You must mean you have recorded Pay per View off the DirecTV analog out channel of the DirecTV box because I don't know of ANY PVR card that can decode DirecTV satellite signals ... at least not for sale legally.

Anyway, I believe he is talking about on Demand video through his cable. If so I believe you have to run any VOD through your box first and not straight off the cable. The built in cable tunner on the PVR card can not decrypt the signal. Maybe I misunderstood how he has it setup.

So all he would have to do is tune the box to channel 1.

Is that what you are having issues with ... getting sage to control your box to tune to channel 1 ?
