titantv and sage - looking for a larger preview guide to work with sage

Hi i am pretty much sold on Sage but was hoping the preview guide was a bit bigger and faster. titan tv is great because its huge and you just click the icon to watch or record. does anyone know if sage plans support for this or is there any other larger resolution guide available?

thanks!

oh yeah, how do you get the recorder video to stay on top of all windows?

well you can define how many channels and time blocks you want to show in the properties file
also you can right click the blue bar and then choose always on top

the properties file you will need to open with notepad and
look here
ui/epg_num_cols=4
ui/epg_num_rows=5

well thats mine

I like Titan.tv also. Does anyone know if SageTV Recorder can work with it?

The problem is...

I don't think it is a question if Sage will work with TitanTV, but if TitanTV supports Sage. I believe it was about a year and half ago TitanTV switched from an XML file to an encoded file. In order to use TitanTV for a PVR the software / hardware vender must purchase a license from TitanTV. I wrote a program a couple years ago called 'X-EPG' that would read the XML file coming down from TitanTV and re-write it to any format I wanted. I had noticed in my log files that TitanTV had been to my site several times, but didn't really think anything of it. Then they announced that they would be encoding the files and you would need to upgrade the software for your TV card to support the new format. Each TV Tuner / Software uses a different format. In my opinion, TitanTV is pretty slow anyway and breaks away from a true PVR interface. In addition, if you found were able to reverse engineer the encoding scheme, you may find TitanTV knocking on your door. That is one of the reasons I let X-EPG die.
