Plans to support ATI Remote Wonder
Hi all... I just purchased the SageTV + PVR-250 bundle and am eager to get started. Does anyone know of plans to support the ATI Remote Wonder? My TV and PC are in opposite rooms, so I need to use an RF remote to control the PC. Thanks

Yes, I am waiting for the SageTV ATI Remote wonder plugin as well. Development shouldn't bee too difficult since there is already a plugin for winTV available for the ATI remote from the site below:
http://remotew.free.fr/plugins.htm Maybe that DLL plugin could be modified or used as some sort of template.

Just keep in mind if someone goes the easy way and makes a 'native' remote wonder plugin that is used through ATI's Remote Wonder software then you will NOT be able to remap the following buttons:
1. Power 2. DVD 3. Multimedia Center It is simply a limitation of the software API that ATI has for the Remote Wonder. The other option (which is what some other companies have done) is go back and make a native X10 DLL for the remote. This is much more difficult than using the AMMO plugin model ATI provided though. In any case I would NOT expect Frey Tech to provide this. I think this would have to come from the user community. The reason I would not expect Frey Tech to dedicate resources developing this is that you can COMPLETELY configure the Remote Wonder using Girder, which is free... And plenty of people on this board have good Girder GML files they will share to ease the configuration. Don't get me wrong though, I would still LOVE to see native remote support for both the Remote Wonder and Streamzap remotes. But with Girder being free and extremely functional, I doubt this will happen. Jason Quote:
