Also not sure if I mentioned this but check your power settings in windows 7 as when I had windows 7 it was constantly falling back to trying to hibernate my disk drive when not in use even though I kept turning it off a few times. I finally had to turn it off and then reboot for it to stick if I remember right.

Yes the 2255 has 2 tuners that can be used at one time. I use the digital tuners in mine but it's also supposed to have analog tuners as well but I recommend you either use all analog or all digital as trying anything else is a bad idea.

It's basically a 2250 only of newer design is all and mine worked better then my 2250.

Tuner preroll plugin??? I never heard of it. In fact I have NO plugins and not really sure even how to install a plugin. I found this on forum http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60895 but have no idea how to install it.

There is this

Code:
mmc/encoders/xxxxxxxxxxxxx/100/0/broadcast_standard=DVB-S
mmc/encoders/xxxxxxxxxxxxx/dshow_tv_type=DVB-S

Iam I suppose to edit the sage.properties file and put this in there some were??
If so does it matter were and do I put this exactly like it is above. Then I know there is something in the Sage setup about managing plugins, will this then show up in that section in Sage? Do I need to turn it on then inside Manage Plugins?

Tuner pre-roll plugin is available in the sage tv software. Open up sage tv and choose "setup" then choose "sage tv plugins" and then pick "All available settings" and under the "general" tab you'll find "Tuner Preroll"

Iam using Sage TV 6.6.2 which does NOT have this choice . I cant use sage 7 as it screws up my viewing with the PVR-150 card. I use the PVR-150 card connected to my Verizon STB with S-video which is not HD but 640 by 480. So when either I watch live TV or a recorded show which was done with the STB and PVR-150 card it doesn't fill the HD wide panel screen but just fills part of the HD TV screen in the center. To make it full screen I use the TV remote control and put TV into whats called Cinama View which expands it to fill screen when I upgraded to sage 7 it no longer did this correctly but put a small box off to the left side of screen. No idea why it goes crazy like this BUT it does. So I can use the newer Sage TV.

Here is a shot with sage 7 and how it displayed on screen , as you can see it puts picture off to side rather than centered as it does with Sage 6.6.2

So can I some how get this plugin with Sage 6.6.2 to work?

I am not sure how to get the plugin to work with 6.6.2 as I was like you when I used version 6 and never had to use any plugins and only started using them when I upgraded to version 7.

Just thought I would post an update

I bought a 2255 card removed the 2 old 1600 cards problem solved. No skipping with the 2255 card. So it was the 1600 cards and new PC with windows 7 problem. it has been several months now with no problems.
