Help! Skipping during playback.
Hi,
I'm having a problem with virtually everything I record using my PVR. Every time I watch something I've recorded the recording suddenly skips to some point later in the program. It seems the recordings are broken into a few different mpegs (3-5 for a football game, for example). Typically some portion of the end of one of the mpegs will be skipped during playback and then pick up again at the beginning of the next mpeg. I don't know why the recordings are being broken up into different mpegs, which are not even close to being of equal size, in the first place. Does anybody know what I can do about this? Thanks.

If you go to the Recording Detail for a show, scroll down & look at the "Files:" info, does it list multiple files? That would confirm that the recordings are broken up.
What tuner are you using? What recording quality setting? Is the drive where the recordings are stored formatted with a 64K cluster size? - Andy

The recordings are definitely broken into multiple files.
By "tuner" do you mean the receiver (we're using an RCA tuner that goes with the DirecTV system) or do you mean the capture card (Hauppauge PVR350)? I don't know about the cluster size and can't check right now since I'm not at home. -Smirky
