Neo Z64W
I picked up one of the Minix Z64W units to test as a Sage Client. We sell many of the Minix Android boxes, but as great as Kodi (XBMC) is for streaming, I always find it lacking as a replacement for Sage Client. We still want/need the integration into our Shaw TV boxes.
I know there are limitations with the Audio output of the unit, and the built-in IR is non-functional, but hey.. it Windows-based. Setup Sage Client with the Phoenix2 skin, connected to server and it works great. Since I only use 1080i HDPVR recordings, and am not crazy on the audio, it does the job well. Menus are responsive, fanart from server loads quickly, and playback is fine for us. Of course I had to try Windows 10 on it as I want to try the multiple Desktops with Kodi full screen and SageTV full screen. That worked fine as well. Only drawback is I forgot to grab the Audio drivers from the original install and after hours of failed searching plugged in a crappy USB audio card lol.. Grant |

Yup there are min option like that one
What did mean by the limitations with the Audio output from unit dose not have HDMI. You mean this built-in IR doesn't work in Windows?. Last edited by SHS; 03-12-2015 at 11:12 AM. |

From reading, audio doesn't pass 5.1 to HDMI receiver, although it does pass to TV.
Mistake on the IR, as it works with Minix Gyro Remote. Unfortunately because they haven't posted the Windows driver set, I know I have a few missing devices I haven't been able to get operational yet. Grant |

If had google PC audio doesn't pass 5.1 to HDMI receiver you know that it a common Handshaking issue, compatibility issues and/or EDID related issue you may have used HDMI emulator for that related issue. Thing like this may help but I my self haven't try it http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Premium.../dp/B00KBHX072 http://www.drhdmi.eu/ |
