no i haven't but i don't think it would be much better. the video play back seems to drain it.

I guess the iPad mini still has no competition, at least for portable video use

Right, no effect on anything else, only the SageTV Client I changed them on.

ah, ok. I don't think you can change them on Placeshifter, can you, only on the server?
