Question Screensaver disables Video?

Has anyone had the experience that when the windows screensaver comes on you lose video when you turn it off? Also, has anyone had the option in the sage.properties to disable the screensaver not work?

The problem is likely caused by 3d acceleration. If you turn it off the problem wont occur. If you do that you will not be able to use vmr though. Why not disable it and use the sage screensaver?

Alas it is a corporate loaded PC and I cannot make any changes at all to the screensaver. IT starts every 15 minutes. period. Doesn't matter what renderer.

If this is a PC you have at home and you have an account with admin priv's create a local user with admin privs. Login locally and you dont have to deal with the policys........that is unless they use something like zen.

It isn't a PC at home it is at work and it's not even a option to disable the screensaver as a user with admin priv. It's a part of the actual load to disable the screensaver. It's corporate policy and it sucks.

Heh, yea I understand. Its my job to make and enforce such policys. Unless you are running a client like zen, the domain policys do not effect local logins (to the pc, not the domain). If you create a local user and logout and then into the machine (not the domain) you can disable it. This only works if you have admin rights to your PC while logged in to the doamin.

I have a limited admin on the PC but no admin on the domain. Even with both you still can't do it. It seems to be a part of the actual XP load that is removed, option wise.

EDIT:sorry your right it is true

It's actually for a Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the company spent the money on 3 Roslyn cards thanks I changed the disable screensaver thing to true already within sage properties. It doesn't seem to matter.

run gpedit once in locally and you can change it. You dont need admin rights onthe domain. Your domain user needs admin rights on the pc. Thats on so you can create a local user with admin rights. If you have a local user with admin rights already, forget the above and just run gpedit whil logged into the local machine.
