Select vs Play inconsistant behavior

Greetings, been playing with Gemstone for a few months on a new build. I pretty much have everything the way I like it, but there is an annoying issue that is going driving the me and the rest of the family insane and I don't see an obvious setting for it. It boils down to this:

In STV7 pressing select (or OK) on a program in the TV guide or in a recording screen brings up a list of options (show info, delete, set watched, future airings, etc). You can also press play to watch the program without seeing this menu.

In Gemstone, this behavour is inconsistant. Select/play work as they do in STV7 in the TV guide only. Play does nothing in a flow and enter plays the video. The only way I can see to get to the options is to press i (info) then enter on that screen. The inconsistancy is driving us insane because we're constantly pressing enter expecting to get the options menu, but the program plays instead, reseting watched flags (etc). Then to reset the watched flag we have to stop and then go through a bunch of keystrokes just to set the watched flag again (much less what we were trying to do in the first place).

Is there a setting I'm missing to make flows work like STV7? Or at least make behavors consistant so we relearn our habbits?

The behavior in the Flows is customizable.

In the Flow (each flow needs to be set), press Options (ESC on a keyboard).

Select Customize from the Options Menu.

You can then set Enter = Play to No (default is Yes if I recall).

There are many more options in these menus throughout Gemstone to "tweak" the interface.

Sorry for the delayed response, I forgot I posted this :-/

I found the option you speak of, it's better, but still not what I really want. Now pressing either play OR select gives the option menu. The normal STV7 behavior is to play the highlighted item when play is pressed and to give the option menu when select is pressed. Is there another option to have Gemstone do this? I didn't see one...
