Xbox One OneGuide and SageTV

Has anyone tried using their SageTV in connection with the Xbox Oneguide feature?

I have used the SageTV to pass through the xbox, it works, they have improved it to the point where it is pretty seemless. I tried using the OneGuide feature, didn't notice that it finally got released to Canada, but cannot get the correct remote codes so that it will send the correct remote codes for the channel change.

I'm not sure that the feature will be useful if I can set it up, but hate having a feature on a device that I cannot use.

I just setup the Cable box as Microsoft and it sends the MCE remote codes to the HTPC. Since I use and MCE receiver and Eventghost, it works fine for the basic functions. I can even use the voice controls to pause play skip etc.

The problem with live TV is that just typing in the channel number does not start live TV. If I am already watching live TV it will change the channel.

The real problem is that it works as a live TV Cable box and is not really designed for DVR functionality. Although some functions work it is not fully functional and some Xbox One guide overlays will come up and be useless.

That does not take away from the usefulness of the whole setup. The Xbox ones make the HTPC seem like it is part of the interface and switching between apps like SageTV, Netflix, Amazon and Games is seamless. I still have a separate setup on my Harmony remote for SageTV since some of the Xbox One pass-thru functions do not do what I would like them to. I might be able to remap my Eventghost setup to make it work better but with the Xbox one remote and voice controls but it has not been something I felt compelled to do because it works so well as it is and it is supper easy to change from MCE controls to XBOX One controls.

I like it so much I am looking to add a second Xbox One to the TV in the Man cave.
