Unblockus. It costs $5 per month but is solves this problem. It is used by tons of people outside of the US to access US streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, etc.

All you have to do is change the DNS setting of your device or router.

In order to save Brent a lot of time I suggest we all make a road trip to his place so we can all see GF at the same time I am sure Brent wouldn't mind a few dozen Sagies in his loft oogling his setup, right Brent We will bring flowers to smooth things over with Mrs. Geek Tonic.

I'll finally get to try KC BBQ. Also getting to see Google Fiber in action would be pretty cool.

I appreciate the offer. Stop by this week . I'll be in beautiful Oklahoma City OK, Garden City KS, and Newton KS. MrsGeekTonic would love to show off Google Fiber for everyone - she LOVES the TV setup. Only thing she misses from SageTV is the commercial skip. Otherwise it's a nice step up from SageTV7 on the TV side of things.

While in KC I recommend Oklahoma Joes BBQ, Arthur Bryants, Rosedale's, and Smoking Guns. All are very good.

PS: I ran into to a rough work schedule the last several days and now am on a business trip all week so my next couple of blogs posts about Google Fiber will be a bit delayed.

Google looking at 34 additional cities for fibre rollout...

Closest to Canada they're planning to go to would be Oregon and that's on the wrong coast for me! Maybe next year.

But it is much better than what most around here thought would happen - 9 more metro areas. I heard a lot of doubters when I first said Google wasn't just messing around with Google Fiber & TV. I think there might be a few more surprises on this front.

I would pay over twice what they are charging for Google Fiber - I do today for 250/20 1TB/ month internet + TV.

Are you using internet services a lot more?

Oooh. More choices of cities I could move to. Seriously. Just got info from Comcast that my business class internet is going to go up probably $20/mo. Meaning it's going to cost me $115/mo for 20mb/5mb with 5 static IPs.

I really want Google Fiber....

Great. San Antonio and not Dallas. Maybe moving closer to the wife's family might not be so bad after all.

OOoooh Charlotte. I'm sure the city government here will find a way to screw it up.

Nice writeups Brent. And I'm wondering when someone is finally going to post the screenshot of the 'Legal' page in Settings so Stuckless can feel like a bad ass. (just the top you see when you first go into the menu...not the however many pages of licenses are actually there)

Actually, this is already in my draft for one of my next posts coming this week. Definitely a lot of SageTV community inside:

and the version of SageTV er... Google Fiber TV:

Actually, I was referring to the one for the Legal section....which has the license for sagex-api listed first with Stuckless's name right there.

There is an Android app and an iOS app (both tablet and phone) for Google Fiber. It allows you to watch the local channels on your tablet but otherwise it's a way to show the guide, search (typing and voice) and manage recordings. It currently only works while on the home network. No Chromecast capability thus far.
