Do Customized TV views get imported/exported
I am using my server as my master and then exporting ALL to my 8-9 extenders. But it looks like when I customize a TV view, like renaming and adding filters, that it does not get exported even when I choose to export all.
Is this the expected behaviour? If so can you please think about adding this to a future release?

you'll have to be more specific. Are you simply configuring views from in gemstone, or are you modifying/adding phoenix xml files?

My assumption was that when I Export All and then Import into another extender that the UI would be 100% the same. But that does not seem to be the case, at least not for TV menu items.
What I changed is changed the third Watch TV item in TV|Recordings menu to be Sports. I renamed this and changed the filtering so that it only includes the Sports Genre (or Category) - by default this was Archived Recordings (I think). So then I go into the Sage UI on my server and do Utility Functions|Import-Export and say Select All Exports and Export. I then Import this on an extender and most things are the same as on the server except that the TV menu items have NOT been changed. They are the default as near as I can tell or at least they are what they were before this import/export.

What you might do is:
1. identify the mac address of your "master" settings (for extenders, boot up in stand alone mode then check you network settings) 2. go to your <sage install dir>\sagetv\clients directory 3. copy the <master settings mac address>.properties to all your other <mac address>,properties (backup/copy the <mac address>.properties for easy backout if needed) This should make all the extenders settings the same |

Good idea - I used to do that in the past but I figured I didn't have to do it anymore given this import/export functionality in Gemstone.

If it's just the TV views you are needing copied, You might try using the gemstone views for TV instead. Personally, I use the dual pane view for all my tv shows, and it works quite well. Then, once those are set up, it will be part of the import/export functionality in gemstone.

I tried playing around with a few of the views but I can't find anything that I like better than the default yet. I like a view with banners and from what I see from the Gemstone banners none of them have the feature where the banner with current focus "jumps out" and is larger as happens with the default UI.
