Can't add a NAS share to Import Directories

I've got an additional NAS that I'm trying to use for Sage video storage. I go into setup and select 'Media Center Import Directories" and try to add the share I created using "specify..." and enter \\mbnas02\videos\ (or \\mbnas02\videos ) and I get a message "The directory \\mbnas02\videos\ does not exist . would you like to create it?" If I try to browse to it, I get to network, see all my machines and select the mbnas02 and rather than show the shares it says "Invalid Directory".
I tried doing the same with the old NAS, and it allows me to browse through that. The new one is a Synology (which is very customizable) compared to the old which is a Dlink, which has minimal configuration options. So I'm guessing that there's just something that is ON on the old one that I need to figure out and turn on on the new one. Any ideas what that might be or where to look?

Thanks as ever!

Mick.

Are you running Sage as a service? Services do not have access to Network Drives.

I run Sage as a service and have it login with my user info. That gives it access to network drives.

That did it. I had to add a user on the NAs for the sagetv service account. Thanks much for your help!
